Strategies To Grow Your Brand’s Social Media Presence

Social media platforms are used by brands, organizations, and institutions every day to engage with their consumers, raise awareness, and generate leads and business. Brands may effectively spread the word about campaigns, new initiatives, and new products and services by having an engaged following on one or more of the main social networks.

Having only 1,000 Facebook fans or just 200 Twitter followers, on the other hand, isn’t the best sign of social media success. Thousands of people may follow you but never read your posts or click on your links. You want to aim to cultivate a vibrant online community of the ideal fans, those who will actively engage with your material, share it and eventually convert to paying customers.

It takes time and effort to achieve such an ideal but the payoff is incredibly worth it. And so, to help with that, here are a few ways to do so.

A picture is worth a thousand words
social media

On social media, visuals perform well, so make sure to add an eye-catching, colourful image or graphic with each post.

A video is worth even more
social media

Because video is the most engaging content format on every social media network, it’s a good idea to make at least some video content if you wish to increase engagement.

Rather than posting a link to an external website, submit your video directly to your platform of choice. This way, people can come across your video naturally while scrolling through their feeds and depending on the platform, it will automatically play, catching more attention. A large number of views can boost your brand’s reach, engagement, and exposure.

Be proactive when listening and responding to your brand’s community
social media

In today’s busy world, a quick response is expected by the majority of people online. When people pose a query to your brand’s social media accounts they expect a response on the same day at most and delaying such will drive them to your competitors.

Being extremely responsive on social media is a must and allows your brand to provide a terrific user experience for its followers. It’s important to pay attention to what people are saying and answer appropriately.

Appreciating individuals who comment on Instagram and YouTube and publicly recognising people who retweet, like, and mention your organization on Twitter is also a great way to bolster your brand’s online reputation and community.

Make your online audience feel heard and recognized, and they’ll become ardent followers and your most devoted social media ambassadors.

Change your brand page’s profile photos and cover photos
Social

Some of your best and most-viewed social profile pieces are your profile images and banners. Use these graphic aids to demonstrate the impact of your work and the tales of those who have benefited from it.

Consider updating your Facebook cover photo at least once a month, and don’t forget to include a great caption. Use your profile picture and banner photo on Twitter to highlight your excellent work.

No one wants to connect with only a logo on social media, so don’t just extend out and pixelate a horizontal version of your brand. Make sure to personalize and humanize all your channels with a powerful visual language.

A reason to follow
Twitter

Give new and old fans a reason to follow you across different platforms. Don’t just “set it and forget it” by blasting generic, automated links across all of your social media platforms, rather, personalize your material for each channel’s audience.

Use Twitter to communicate hot news and real-time happenings with your brand, while Facebook may be used to tell more interesting, lengthier tales. You should use each social media outlet wisely based on its capabilities and demographics, and provide your target audience with a compelling reason to engage with your brand on that network.

Consider why people use each network and then create a strategy for posting and sharing information that will resonate with your target audience, no matter where they hang out online.

Play tag
Social Media

Encourage your followers to tag other people who could benefit from or enjoy the kind of content and products/services your brand provides as a way to engage your audience.

An example of this might be sharing a video on Friendship Day and inviting your online community to tag friends who mean a lot to them and with whom they would like to share your message. Ideally, these newcomers will be lured into the fold and become fans of your online social media accounts. Though do take caution when employing, do it too frequently and it may be received negatively as spam by your audience.

Use hashtags to get found

There are two main techniques to grow your social media followers with hashtags, use popular hashtags sparingly and strategically, and take part in current events and pertinent topical themes.

Check on the daily to see what’s trending and consider whether such would be of interest to your brand’s followers. Sending out posts with these will not only help with engaging your followers but also allows others to discover your brand when they search for the trending tags.

Humour is a great weapon to utilize
joke

Brands that display a sense of compassion and humour perform well on social media, however, you should always make sure that any content you upload is appropriate for your target demographic and brand voice.

Sharing cat memes just for the sake of sharing cat memes is pointless. Even if such postings receive a few likes, they can cause confusion in your messaging, which can hurt your overall brand-building efforts.

These are just a few but effective ways to grow your brand’s social media presence on a daily basis, though, if you want the full scope, we at Tunnel Solution are always there to assist
